    The village of Serra is a few kilometers away and still has a bakery and a butcher, a few cafes and a health center, a primary school and even a gas pump and a small hardware store.

    For supermarkets, shops and boutiques, schools, a hospital and a more extensive choice of restaurants and cafes or a theater visit you can go to Tomar, where the Convento de Cristo, a Unesco world heritage site, is also worth a visit. In Tomar you will also find a bus and train station. Tomar is 15 minutes away by car.

    Lisbon airport is an hour and a half drive away, the Atlantic coast is an hour away by car via perfectly maintained and quiet motorways.
