Exceptional fully restored watermill with great potential
The building used to be a water mill and was completely restored by the owners.
There are two terraces at the front and back and there is a separate parking area slightly higher up the steep road.
The building itself has the following layout:
- A living room/kitchen with equipped kitchen area and bar, a fireplace and patio doors at the back. Through glass in the floor you can still see the old foundations and where the water ran that powered the original mill.
- A bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
The building does not have a residential permit and as an industrial building is exempt from an energy certificate; subject to the necessary permits, it could be expanded with one or two bedrooms.
The potential is enormous as a small family home, restaurant, possibly even as a campsite with permission from the municipality of Abrantes.
At the back, a large flat area of 9840 m2 extends down to a stream that flows all year round.
A local cooperative is currently restoring an irrigation system that will supply the entire valley with water for agriculture and horticulture.
