An impressive traditional manor house set in an attractive village location close to Ferreira do Zezere in Central Portugal.
The property stretches over an area of 3700m2 of land, 1600m2 of which has been laid to lawn. The house has five bedrooms, a large living room that stretches across the front of the house, and an attractive kitchen. Also included is the large Adega and outbuildings which opens this property up for multitudinous business opportunities.
In detail ….........
Entrance to the property is via a single gate. A short path with garden to either side leads to the central double door entry which opens into the living room area.
The living room has inset windows to either side of the door that floods this area with natural light. Your attention is immediately drawn to the tall ceilings that are finished in painted wood. The floors are finished with tiles. There is a feature corner fireplace with a recuperator fitted that ensure maximum heat and efficiency into this area.
A centre hall then leads into a kitchen area which has been refinished to maintain the traditional style and feel of this home. Within what would have been the original open fireplace area space has been allocated for a large range oven. There is a work surface that incorporates a stainless steel sink with an extendible tap over. A window provides light and looks out over the rear garden.
The remodelled bathroom has a sink set into a vanity unit, toilet, and obscured window to the side.
There is a bedroom/study/office on this level, that has wooden floors and a window to the rear looking out over the garden.
An attractive wide wooden staircase leads to the upper level of the home. On this level is a central hall that leads to a family bathroom that has a toilet, sink and a shower unit.
There are four additional bedrooms on this level, all of which have wooden plank flooring. One of the bedrooms to the front has double doors that open onto a Juliet balcony, this bedroom also has a door off to a dressing area.
From the centre hall there is an additional set of stairs that lead to the large attic area. This could be converted into additional living space and would make an impressive master bedroom suite, incorporating a full ensuite bathroom and dressing area, in addition to a sitting area.
To the side of the main house is a large annex consisting of two separate rooms. One is presently being used as a workshop/storage area, the other which is very large could provide additional living space and, with necessary permissions, could make additional living space and would certainly be a perfect area to hold workshops, however with the size of this building it lends itself to a number of business opportunities.
To the exterior of these buildings is a covered courtyard area that incorporates an outside kitchen that has a traditional bread oven. There is also outside toilet in this area.
The garden is impressive and beautifully maintained. There is a terraced area immediately adjacent to the rear of the property and this leads to the large 12m x 6m swimming pool. In addition there is always a borehole which is used for the swimming pool and also for irrigation.
The area leading from the pool has been laid to lawn and leads at the rear to an additional 1500m2 lot that has planning permission for a 200m2 house.
